Emily McKay –
My kids love this curriculum. They enjoy the hands on activities, resulting in them remembering the lessons. There are so many activities to choose from that cover history, science, life skills, writing, art, and so much more.
I love that it teaches not only basic education but how to be a well round individual with high values and characteristic. Teaching my children to draw close to God is important. The religious aspect of this curriculum is optional.
It can be used as a main curriculum along with a Math and Phonic (Grammar) curriculum. Or you can use the activities as a supplement. I’ve done both in the 3 years we have been homeschooling.
I had trouble at first getting the flow of it. With so many activities to choose from it can feel overwhelming.
The KONOS Compass book helped learn how to organized the lesson plan. But more importantly the 3 books; KONOS Obedience, KONOS Orderliness and KONOS Attentiveness curriculums helped me learn how to understand the flow.
I’m now comfortable using Volume 1, 2, and 3 on my own.
